The iMAS Drone is a cost-effective autonomous marine drone for underwater search and mapping. It is equipped with side-scan sonar and an underwater drop camera. The drone comes with a comprehensive and user-friendly software package for mission planning and data viewing. The camera and sonar data are streamed to and stored by the base station software using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection. The drone is 1 meter long, weighs about 34 kilograms and is portable by one or two people.

The underwater camera can be lowered into water to view any points of interest found in the sonar data. The side-scan sonar data is displayed on the map and can be exported as a 3D-model.
